A Brief Outline
Our company was settled in the industrial activity by a group of brothers, all born in Argentina. Descendants of Spanish parents, who had come to America to broaden their horizons, we learnt from our parents the teachings of a pure behaviour that dignifies and the honest work that frees economically and strengthens the moral.
We launched into the business after doing our job at the workshop on the farm where we lived, thanks to the capacity of one of us, Esteban, who became an electronic technician and developed a highly useful tool for fields: The Automatic Electric Fence Energizer, which is operated when the animal touches the fence.
Then we needed to find a name for our product: as a tribute to our parents, whose surnames were LOPEZ and TORRES, we chose LOYTO.
In 1952 we were already settled in what is today one of our industrial plants in 850, Necochea Street. Our founding members, Esteban, Fermín, Andrés, Cándido, together with Miguel, Máximo, Luis, Jacinto and Marta, who were devoted to the farming activity, gave birth to LOPEZ HNOS Ltd. in 1958.
In 1970 we launched into the market the first micro grinding machine for all kinds of grains, product which was immediately accepted by the Argentinian farmer.
At present, it is the same energy that drove us in our youth what makes us continue with determination in the business, together with our nephews and children.
Not only do we manufacture those electric fence energizers that accompanied us from the very beginning but we have also started to manufacture battery chargers, grinding machines, mixers, grain elevators and grain crackers, thus widening the range of products. Finally, we have also started manufacturing agricultural machinery of great magnitude, such as bagging machines, grain extractors, mixers and seed inoculants. All these products are marketed under the brand LOYTO and have been widely accepted in the domestic as well as in the foreign market thanks to the exports to Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and Chile. |
